Withdrawal Account Change and KYC Verification

As part of Tako's commitment to maintaining the security of Creator accounts and balances, we have updated the terms and conditions regarding the user account verification process. Starting with the Tako version 1.10 update released in May 2026, Tako has implemented a Know Your Customer (KYC) system as a mandatory identity verification process that must be completed by all users before they can verify their bank accounts for balance withdrawals.

This measure ensures that Tako accounts are owned and used by legitimate owners. This process is a security standard applied by various financial services and digital platforms to protect users against account misuse, identity theft, and fraudulent activity.

Through the KYC process, Tako ensures that every withdrawal is made to an account genuinely owned by the respective Creator, thereby maintaining transaction security and the protection of user balances.

KYC Verification Age Requirements

To complete the KYC verification process independently, users must be at least 17 years old and possess a valid identity document.

If a user is under 17 years old or does not yet have their own identity document, the verification process can still be completed using the identity card and bank account of a parent or guardian. In this case, the name on the identity document and the bank account must match for the verification to be processed.

KYC Application for Changing Withdrawal Accounts

To change your withdrawal account, please log in to the Creator Dashboard and provide the necessary data, such as:

  1. Withdrawal Account Number
  2. Attach an Identity Card (KTP/SIM/PASSPORT/KITAS)
  3. Business Ownership Document (Only applicable for agency or company account types)

The name on the provided identity document must match the name of the new withdrawal account owner (the order of the name does not matter).

The KYC application and account change process has a maximum estimated time of 2x24 hours.

Reasons for KYC Account Application Rejection

If your account verification request is rejected, do not worry. You can correct the necessary data or documents and resubmit your verification request. Below are common reasons why an account verification request might be rejected and how to resolve them:

  1. Account owner name does not match the identity card

The name on the bank account must match the name on the identity card used for KYC. Ensure there are no differences in spelling, including abbreviations or name variations.

  1. Identity card photo is blurry or illegible

Ensure the photo of the identity document is taken with sufficient lighting, is in focus, and all information is clearly readable.

  1. Bank ownership document is invalid or inconsistent

The uploaded bank document must be an official document showing that the account is genuinely owned by you, such as a savings book or an official bank statement.

  1. Account number is invalid or not found by the bank

Ensure the entered account number is correct and remains an active account at the selected bank.

  1. Incomplete account data

All required information, such as the bank name, account number, and account owner name, must be filled out completely and correctly before submitting.

  1. Name on the ID card does not match the Tako account name

The name registered on the Tako account must match the name on the ID card used for verification. Significant discrepancies may lead to rejection.

  1. Selected bank name does not match the bank document

Ensure the bank selected in the verification form is the same as the bank shown in the document you attached.

  1. Account not verified

Only e-wallets that are verified and capable of receiving transactions can be used for verification and balance withdrawals (e.g., Gopay Plus/DANA Premium).

  1. Identity card photo is cropped

Ensure the entire identity card is visible in the photo. Do not crop the edges so that important information, such as name, ID number, or expiration date, remains clearly visible.

  1. Identity card has expired

Use a valid identity document. Expired documents cannot be used for the verification process.

  1. Identity card type not supported

Tako only accepts KTP, SIM, Passport, or KITAS. Other documents cannot be used for KYC.

  1. Bank proof is a screenshot

Screenshots from mobile banking or internet banking apps cannot be used as proof of account ownership. Please upload a photo of your actual savings book or an official document issued by the bank.

  1. Bank document is blurry or illegible

Ensure the bank document is photographed clearly, is not blurry or glary, and all important information is readable.

  1. Account age has not reached 30 days

To maintain platform security, account verification can only be performed if the Tako account has been registered for at least 30 days.

  1. Account balance has not reached Rp50,000

Account verification can only be performed if the account balance has reached a minimum of Rp50,000. If the balance is below this, please increase your balance before resubmitting.

How to resubmit?

After correcting the data or documents based on the reason for rejection, you can resubmit the account verification process through the Dashboard menu, then select Withdrawal. Ensure all data entered is correct and the uploaded documents are clear, complete, and in accordance with the requirements so that the verification process can proceed faster.

Why did my KYC verification exceed the time limit?

The KYC verification process generally finishes within the specified time. However, in certain conditions, the process may take longer due to additional checks by our team.

One common cause is when the system detects activities or transactions that require further verification. For example, if an account has large PayPal transactions or unusual transaction patterns, it may need to go through a review process to ensure the security of the account and the user's balance.

If your account enters the review process, the verification status may be on hold for about 3–7 business days. During this period, the Tako team will perform checks to ensure that the transactions and submitted data comply with applicable regulations.

If the verification process has exceeded this estimated time and there has been no status update, please contact the Tako Customer Support Team via the Live Chat menu on the Tako website so we can assist you with further checks.
